GeoGeny »Case studies
Examples of GeoGeny in action GeoGeny already has a highly satisfied customer in the Montreux Jazz Festivals Command and Control Center (CECo, short for Centre dEngagement et de Coordination), which has been using the interface since 2003. GeoGeny lets the Center track the Riviera Police, firefighters, paramedics, breakdown trucks, and rescue boats all over the festival site and keep them constantly informed about the latest developments. The solution also manages all searches for lost festival-goers and cash transport for the festivals dozens of box offices. In 2004, GeoGeny is being used by CECO once again, and its functionality has spread. Another key customer benefiting from this innovative solution is the Nez Rouge (Red Nose) organization in Switzerlands French-speaking zone. Nez Rouge provides a volunteer taxi service to take people home from parties, bars, and clubs over the Christmas period, when they may have had a drink or two too many. Demand for this service has soared in recent years, but GeoGeny has helped to reduce the number of miles driven by its volunteers per month by a third a difference of well over 5,000 miles. The drivers have PDAs in their cars that show them the ideal route to follow. The Challenge Ferrier Lullin sailing race series entrusted CPR Groupe (Suisse) SA and its partner sunrise with the task of tracking the buoys and the eight Decision 35 craft involved in the series on Lake Geneva between May and September 2004.
