The GeoGeny interface was designed by CPR Groupe (Suisse) SA to open up new horizons in the management of roaming personnel using a variety of telecommunication technologies (UMTS, GPS, GSM, GPRS, and SMS). It is intended primarily to optimize the deployment of staff who move around and help users to keep their costs in check thanks to constant, centralized communication.

The first time GeoGeny was used on a large scale was at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2003, where it played a major role in ensuring that the security command center ran smoothly. Following this success, GeoGeny was employed to manage all the information needed to guarantee the safety of both festival-goers and the local population. Installed in the Montreux Jazz Festival’s Command and Control Center (CECo, short for Centre d’Engagement et de Coordination), the interface makes sure that all on-site police, firefighters, paramedics, civil protection volunteers, rescue boats, cash transporters, and hospitality staff are precisely informed and guided to where they are most needed.

Our privileged partner is sunrise, which provides UMTS, GSM, and GPRS networks for data transmission. The GeoGeny package includes the following:

The basic monthly charge is CHF 90 per terminal. The total price depends on the options selected, the equipment used (which may be bought or hired), and the requirements for implementing GeoGeny. We also offer weekly pricing for events of short duration. Systems involving special implementation requirements are subject to a feasibility study.
